iPhone 5 χωρίς NFC
Σύμφωνα με πρόσφατο δημοσίευμα της The Independent, η Apple ενημέρωσε τους φορείς κινητής τηλεφωνίας στην Ευρώπη ότι το iPhone επόμενης γενιάς δεν θα διαθέτει την τεχνολογία Near Field Communication (NFC).
H Apple δεν φαίνεται πρόθυμη να συμπεριλάβει από φέτος την τεχνολογία εφόσον δεν είναι ευρέως διαδεδομέη, και σύμφωνα με τις πρώτες πληροφορίες το σύστημα πληρωμής “wave and play” παίρνει παράταση για το 2012:
The new iPhone will not have NFC, Apple told the operators it was concerned by the lack of a clear standard across the industry.
Yet Apple is understood to be working on its own NFC proposition, which would link payments through iTunes. It hopes to introduce the technology in a handset likely to be released next year[via]
